Glover Quin is another aging defensive player in the NFL, but he hasn’t shown any signs of his eight years in the league, averaging 6.2 fantasy points weekly and crossing our streaming threshold in every game this year. The dearth of linebacking talent for his Detroit Lions has opened up plenty of tackle volume for the defensive backs, and his eight percent tackle rate is a solid amount for a deep free safety (21st among the 40 qualifying free safeties). He only has two passes defended and one interception, but that should change this week.
Quin toes off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11, who rank the absolute highest in pass-to-run ratio heading into this game. Quarterback Blake Bortles will throw early and often, which will give Quin a chance to get plenty of downfield tackles or passes defended. In addition, Bortles’ interception rate is the fifth-highest in the league, and he is tied for second in interceptions (11). There are few better games for a defensive back than against the Jaguars.
Quin is available in 97.0% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 6.14 tackles, 0.14 interceptions, 0.18 passes defended, and a total score of 7.28 fantasy points in Week 11.
