10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 12
Who should you be targeting on your wire to help you make a playoff push? We've got you covered.

Tim Hightower, RB, New Orleans Saints

ESPN Ownership: 54%
Yahoo Ownership: 51%

I honestly don't know how Tim Hightower is still in the NFL. He started out his career with the Arizona Cardinals back in 2008, playing with the team for three seasons before beginning a stint with the Washington Redskins in 2011. That 2011 campaign was his age-25 season, and it was the last NFL action he received until his late-season resurgence with the New Orleans Saints in 2015 after Mark Ingram went down to injury.

Now in his age-30 season in 2016, Hightower managed to keep a roster spot with the Saints after his productive work filling in for Ingram last season. And after Ingram sustained a concussion on Thursday, Hightower's number was called again. And once again he filled in admirably, notching 8 receptions on 9 targets for 57 yards, to go with 12 carries for 69 yards on the ground.

Heading into Week 11, Hightower's 0.00 Rushing NEP per Rush ranked 21st out of the 45 running backs with at least 50 rushing attempts on the season, so he's posted above-average efficiency when called upon. As such, should Ingram be unable to progress through concussion protocol by late next week, Hightower is a high priority waiver wire add if he's available in your league.
