10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 13
Stakes are getting higher and higher as the fantasy playoffs approach. Who can you count on to give your team a boost?

Brandon LaFell, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

ESPN Ownership: 21.2%
Yahoo Ownership: 18%

Even after A.J. Green's hamstring injury, Brandon LaFell remains on the waiver wire in about 80% of leagues.

LaFell is owned in fewer leagues on both Yahoo and ESPN than rookie Tyler Boyd, despite LaFell having actually out-targeted Boyd 18-to-17 over the last two weeks. This isn't to say Boyd isn't a viable fantasy option, but LaFell is available in more leagues and may actually be the better fantasy option of the two.

LaFell has averaged 9.5 PPR points per game to Boyd's 7.6 and has topped 15 fantasy points in two games compared to Boyd's one on the season. LaFell's 26.8 fantasy points in Week 5 are also the highest mark either has posted in a single game this season.

The Bengals had a tough matchup against the Ravens in Week 12 and draw another tough matchup against the Eagles in Week 13. LaFell's volume keeps him a reasonable play if you're in a pinch in PPR leagues for Week 13, and he really gains some fantasy appeal in Week 14, taking on a Browns defense that ranks 31st in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play.
