What do Phil Collins and Brandin Cooks have in common? They both scored zero fantasy points last week.
In a game where the New Orleans Saints scored 49 points, Cooks found a way to lay a goose egg.
That being said, we are willing to give Cooks a shot in Week 13 based on some trends.
In 14 career games as a home favorite, Cooks has averaged 15.75 half-PPR (point per reception) points per game. His average in all games is 12.84 half-PPR points per game.
Another favorable trend is the sky-high total of 53.5 points in their tilt with the Detroit Lions. The Saints have an implied total of 29.75 points, the highest in the league this weekend. The Saints have gone over the total in just five out of 11 games, but do keep in mind that the totals in their games are usually 50 or higher. Saints home games have gone over the total four out of six times.
Due to his recent volatility, I am only recommending Cooks as a tournament play. His ownership should drop after last week's debacle, and his price is easier to work with on FanDuel at $6,800, the 17th-highest among wideouts.
