Kenneth Dixon is staging a slow takeover of the Ravens' backfield, and his emergence is making it increasingly difficult to trust Terrance West.
Dixon has gradually been getting more touches, and in Week 12, both West and Dixon got 13 carries. It was Dixon, though, who led the backfield in snaps, which was the first time that's happened this season. The duo was about equal in production, with Dixon out-gaining West by one yard (49 to 48). Dixon, as he has done, led the way in receiving, catching 4 passes for 31 yards while West totaled 3 grabs for 16 yards.
At a minimum, this seems like it'll be a fairly even timeshare in Week 13, and that's not something we want to be a part of. So even though the matchup is pretty good -- Miami's run defense ranks 31st, per our numbers, and the Ravens are 3.5-point favorites -- we'd probably need to rely on a touchdown for West to return value.
