10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 14
With the playoffs now upon us, which waiver targets are going to help you get to the Promised Land?

Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Sources are indicating that Adrian Peterson desperately wants to return to play this season, but the team might be reluctant to do so with the Minnesota Vikings slowly slipping out of playoff contention. And it's worth noting that even when Peterson did play this season, it didn't go particularly well. He ran 31 times for just 50 yards in two appearances, and the offensive line only got worse in his absence with the loss of Matt Kalil.

Still, as Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata have demonstrated, there are touchdowns to be scored from this backfield, and the two have combined for seven touchdowns this season. It's not much, but a healthy Peterson would still have value with the volume he would likely receive.

More importantly, his matchup in Week 16 against the decimated Packers defense makes him a player I want to at least have on my bench, as opposed to in my opponent's starting lineup should Peterson miraculously return to the field. If I have a roster spot to burn, he is the type of talent that is worth gambling on until his injury situation becomes clearer.
