We highlighted the Falcons last week and it paid off, finishing as the top-scoring defense. Similar to last week, we're bending the rules since the Falcons are owned in nearly 53% of ESPN leagues, but it's playoff time and we all need a win.
Atlanta is in another prime spot as they host Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers, a team that has now lost 12 straight games. Since Kaepernick was named the starter in Week 6, seven of the last eight teams to face the 49ers have finished as a top-12 defense.
Only the New York Jets, who played the 49ers last week, failed to finish as a top-12 unit.
Over that eight-game span, the 49ers offensive line has given up multiple sacks in every game except one, and the 49ers have committed at least one turnover in five of eight.
Vegas has assigned a 51.5-point over/under, one of the highest of the week, but the Falcons are listed as a whopping 13.5-point favorite. With the Falcons expected to beat the turnover-prone 49ers, the Falcons defense makes for an attractive streaming option.
