We just mentioned that eight teams in the NFL don't have a single player with at least 800 receiving yards this season.
Well, of the 33 players who have reached that 800-yard mark, three of them play for Washington.
Player | Receiving Yards | League Rank |
---|---|---|
DeSean Jackson | 857 | 27th |
Pierre Garcon | 851 | 28th |
Jamison Crowder | 828 | 30th |
In 2015, the New Orleans Saints were the only team to have three players amass at least 800 receiving yards all season, and Jordan Reed was the only Redskins player to reach that mark. Reed has missed three games this season due to various injuries, and Kirk Cousins, whose 4,360 passing yards rank second in the NFL this year, has had no problem finding other targets in his absence.
Cousins and the rest of the Washington passing offense will have a big test in Week 16 against the Chicago Bears, who are allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards per game of any team this season.
