FanDuel Price: $6,300
Salary Change: Up $1,300
With an official position change to running back and proclamation from head coach Mike McCarthy naming him the workhorse running back, Ty Montgomery had a breakout game in Week 15 against Chicago. With 162 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground, Montgomery was uber-efficient with his touches as he finished the game with a 10.1 yards-per-carry average.
His yards-after-contact numbers were crazy, too:

With the Packers being 6.5-point home favorites against Minnesota this weekend, we should expect another decent-sized workload for Montgomery. The Vikings’ defense has been reeling late in the season, allowing 22.4 FanDuel points per game to running backs over the last four weeks.
Montgomery has seen a justifiably huge salary increase this week -- in his first week as a full-time running back last game, he played more than 50 percent of the snaps and handled more than 12 touches for the first time since Week 7.
We still can’t expect him to see 20-plus touches in a game, so his workload isn’t fully guaranteed. Add in his likely high ownership after last week’s performance, and it’s probably wise to fade Montgomery in tournaments. Given the matchup, however, he’s fine to play in cash if you’re not spending up at the position.
