Fantasy Football: 5 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Week 17

Start Eli Rogers as a Favorite

We covered this game with Fitzgerald Toussaint, but wide receiver Eli Rogers is a solid play for similar reasons.

Antonio Brown will be resting. Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says Rogers should see plenty of time on the field. He was on the field for about 76% of the snaps against the Baltimore Ravens last weekend, which was second behind only Brown.

Usually, we would cover how a player does when his team is favored as opposed to how he does when they are underdogs. In 2016, Rogers has played 12 games and the Steelers were favored in all 12.

Pittsburgh is again favored and they're facing the league's worst defense. According to numberFire's Net Expected Points metric, the Browns' Opponent Adjusted Defensive NEP per play ranks last.

Rogers will be receiving passes from Landry Jones, and like Toussaint, is probably only safe for use in tournaments. On FanDuel, he is priced at $4,700, which is just $200 more than the minimum.
