The 10 Most Impactful Plays From the Conference Championship Round
Neither of Sunday's conference championships ended up with a tight margin, but that doesn't mean they were devoid of big plays. Which swung the win-probability meters most?

6. Chris Hogan Snags Another Big Gain

Win Probability Change: +5.75% | Win Probability After Play: 78.30%

The Patriots didn't stop feeding Hogan after his monster drive in the first quarter. They went back to him again on their next drive, helping answer after Williams' touchdown run that made it a four-point game.

With New England's drive stuck on their side of midfield at the 44-yard line, they needed a big play to move the sticks on 3rd and 8. Their expected points for the drive were just 0.72, meaning it seemed likely that the drive would result in a punt. Then Hogan worked his magic.

Brady found Hogan for a 22-yard gain, bringing them all the way down to the Pittsburgh 34-yard line. The play increased their expected points to 3.28 and pumped the win probability to 78.30% from 72.55%. And that wasn't even Hogan's biggest play of that drive. More on that in just a bit.
