The league's leading touchdown rusher is going against a team that allowed 15 rushing touchdowns in 16 games? Sign me up for that.
LeGarrette Blount scored 18 times this season and should continue to see plenty of scoring opportunities on Sunday. The Falcons allowed 3.4 red zone trips per game to opposing offenses, which tied for the ninth-highest rate in the league. They also gave up a touchdown on a league-high 72.13 percent of those opportunities.
Possessing a bottom-three rush defense per our NEP metric, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Falcons struggle in this situation.
Atlanta has also allowed the second-most yards after contact to opposing running backs (1.91). Blount finished the season eighth in tackles avoided (42) and will be tough for this Atlanta front-seven to bring down. He's been rather quiet over the past two games with Dion Lewis back in the fold, but we saw just a few years ago that he has immense upside as a bruising runner when he went posted stat lines like 24-166-4 and 30-148-3 in the playoffs.
nF Projection
