The Atlanta Falcons had their best season by nERD since 2000 in 2016, thanks to one of the 10 best offenses ever. Combining that with a 15th-ranked nERD in 2015 gives them one of the biggest efficiency jumps in the NFL this season.
They had the best overall offense in the league by NEP this year, as well as the first-ranked pass offense and third-ranked rushing attack. Only nine teams (including Atlanta) have had top-three ranks in each since 2000, and no team has done it since the 2010 New England Patriots.
Defensively, they ranked 25th and were actually 31st against the run. It's clear what their offseason goals should be.
