Every NFL Team's 2017 Draft Needs Based on Analytics
All 32 teams have holes going into this offseason. Which are the most glaring?

Dallas Cowboys

Top Needs: TE, DE, DT, CB

It really feels like nit-picking to address needs for this team. One of the most dominant offenses in recent history is currently wearing the blue-and-silver of the Dallas Cowboys. All they really have to do to lock that down is add a young and versatile tight end; Jason Witten “helped” this group post the seventh-least Reception NEP per target in the league.

The defensive line still needs a makeover for the Cowboys. They were a top-10 unit in run defense, but by Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play, they came in 17th in the league. David Irving was the only marginally acceptable defensive tackle and Tyrone Crawford the only decent defensive end. With Randy Gregory and Demarcus Lawrence unable to stay on the field, edge rusher is still a need.

In addition, they could address the secondary still in the draft. Cornerbacks Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne are both free agents, so there’s a chance they need to add bodies here.
