Re-Drafting the Running Backs From the 2008 NFL Draft Using Advanced Analytics
Would Darren McFadden still be the first rusher off the board?

8. Rashard Mendenhall

CarAV: 29

Of the lower-performing running backs, 23rd overall pick Rashard Mendenhall probably found the most success of the three. It was just a six-year career, but he still put up two 1,000-plus yard seasons and 37 touchdowns.

Mendenhall scored at least seven rushing touchdowns in a season seven times, and in his second year, he had exactly seven while adding another via the passing game. For the year, he totaled 1,369 yards from scrimmage and an AV of 10 -- a career high.

In 2013, Mendenhall's career ended with the Arizona Cardinals, but not before he became a one-time Super Bowl champion in his rookie year with the Steelers.
