Re-Drafting the Wide Receivers From the 2014 NFL Draft Using Advanced Analytics
In a loaded draft for wideouts, who will lay claim to the title of best pass-catcher in the class?

4. Brandin Cooks

CarAV: 24

Brandin Cooks, with a much different trajectory through three seasons, kicks off a group of four elite wideouts. At first, though, it didn't seem like that would be the case.

In his first season in the NFL, the small but quick-footed Cooks caught just 53 balls in 10 games, tallying 550 yards and 3 touchdowns. He did, however, catch 76.8% of his targets in his rookie campaign.

That promise led into his next two seasons, capamgins in which Cooks increased his value in each season. His top performance was in 2016, when he accounted for 78 catches, 1,173 yards and 8 touchdowns in 16 games. His AV of 11 was double that (5) of his first NFL season.
