If we're getting technical, Olivier Vernon has turned into a traditional defensive end in his time in the NFL. But we're not going to get that precise -- Vernon was an outside linebacker coming into the 2012 draft, where he was selected in the third round by the hometown Miami Dolphins.
Since that day, Vernon has become an above-average pass rusher in four years with the Dolphins and one with the New York Giants. In 80 total games, he's manufactured 37.5 sacks and 183 tackles. Of those, 8.5 sacks and 46 tackles stem from his single season with the Giants in 2016, when he returned an AV of 15.
