Average Draft Position: 2.07 (RB12)
Projected Fantasy Points: 159.62 (RB13)
Many people will argue that Fournette is the unquestioned leader of this rookie running back class, but we can probably attribute that to his conventional running style. Fournette is built like and performed similar to today's lead backs in college, but in terms of fantasy, it is a close call to make between he and McCaffrey.
Regardless of the margin, Fournette is set for big carries in Jacksonville and is being selected in the second round (2.07) of drafts. So he's getting a lot of respect from fantasy football general managers -- and rightfully so.
For his first campaign, numberFire's algorithms project the LSU star for 218 rushes, 942 yards, and 6.6 touchdowns for the Jaguars. He's also showing off his hands in OTAs, so he could be in line to exceed our modest projections (32 catches, 233 yards, and 0.9 touchdowns) in the receiving game.
