10 PPR Running Backs to Target in Your 2017 Fantasy Football Draft
Despite currently being drafted after the first three rounds of PPR leagues, these running backs could make a major impact this season.

Danny Woodhead, Baltimore Ravens

Standard Running Back Rank: 33
PPR Running Back Rank: 25
Average Draft Position (PPR): 4.12 (RB19)

Danny Woodhead missed the bulk of last season with an ACL tear, and he's a 32-year-old with plenty of miles on the odometer. But with a season-ending injury to Kenneth Dixon in Baltimore, he'll now be presented with some serious opportunity. And, for a guy who finished as the RB3 in PPR leagues with over 100 targets and 80 receptions in his last full season (2015 with the Chargers), that's enough to warrant consideration earlier than his current draft price.

Our current projections peg Woodhead for 58.81 receptions in 2017, behind only aforementioned first-round studs Bell and Johnson.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco said last month that "Ever since we lost Ray [Rice], we haven't had the type of back quite like Ray was and quite like Danny is in the passing game." From 2011 to 2013, Rice posted a target market share of 19.12%, 14.82%, and 11.79%. Woodhead's number was 15.89% in 2015 with the Chargers.

Plus, only the New Orleans Saints have targeted their backs more over the last two years than the Ravens have.
