Fantasy Football: 5 Players With Difficult Playoff Schedules
Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins could be in for a rough December. Who are some of the other players dealing with difficult late-season matchups?

Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington

Washington signal caller Kirk Cousins is currently being drafted 10th among quarterbacks, per data from Fantasy Football Calculator. This average draft position (ADP) makes sense because Cousins has been a top-eight option at the quarterback position in each of the past two seasons.

numberFire's Brandon Gdula covered strength of schedule for all 32 teams for the 2017 season. Using our metrics for opposing defenses, he found that Washington has the most difficult schedule.

Unfortunately for Cousins, aside from his already daunting schedule, he is looking at an unfavorable stretch of games during the playoffs. numberFire's Aaron Watson found that Washington has the toughest schedule for quarterbacks in the playoffs.

From Week 14 through Week 16, Cousins faces the Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, and Denver Broncos. All three of those teams had top-10 pass defenses in 2016, per our numbers.

Despite these potential roadblocks, we project Cousins to finish eighth among quarterbacks. Cousins is safe to draft, but you should be prepared for some woes in the playoffs.
