Fantasy Football: 5 Quarterbacks With Rushing Upside in 2017
Blake Bortles' interception totals are scaring off fantasy footballers, but can his legs help make up for some of those turnovers this season?

Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts

Projected Fantasy Points: 51.07

In 2016, Andrew Luck ended the year as fantasy's fourth-ranked quarterback, but it wasn't all about passing for the Indianapolis Colts' franchise signal-caller.

The 27-year-old finished with 341 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 64 rush attempts, and did it with great efficiency -- he tallied a yard-per-carry average of 5.3 yards with 0.40 Rushing NEP per attempt. After all was said and done, that figure ranked ninth among quarterbacks with 20-plus rushes.

Assuming Luck returns to the field at full health -- his Week 1 availability might be in doubt -- he could be in for an even more productive year on the ground. Our algorithms currently project him for for 69 rushes, 331 yards, and 3 touchdowns, which would make up about 16.7% of his fantasy production this season.

His combination of passing and rushing skills makes him our QB5 heading into the year. So, again, if healthy, he should surpass expectations of being a QB6 and the seventh-round asset he's being drafted as today in standard 12-team leagues (per Fantasy Football Calculator).
