Fantasy Football: 5 Quarterbacks With Rushing Upside in 2017
Blake Bortles' interception totals are scaring off fantasy footballers, but can his legs help make up for some of those turnovers this season?

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

Projected Fantasy Points: 25.15

Matthew Stafford is actually really good at running the football.

He ran the ball just 37 times for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2016, but his Rushing NEP per attempt ranked second among quarterbacks with 20 or more rushes on the year. Stafford isn't a touchdown-scoring machine like Cousins, but he has found a way to be effective when he's escaped the pocket -- his Success Rate of 68.97% ranked third last season.

And if our projections have anything to say, that isn't likely to change.

While numberFire's algorithms leave Stafford with just 30 rush attempts and 117 yards for this season, his 2.24 scores are currently seventh. All things considered, that accounts for 9.4% of Stafford's expected production, which has him positioned three spots higher (QB12) than his ADP would have him (QB15).
