Quincy Enunwa's season-ending neck injury dealt a devastating blow to a Jets offense that couldn’t afford to lose any talent. In Enunwa’s absence, someone will have to step up among the wide receivers on the roster.

An early leader to do that is ArDarius Stewart.

Robby Anderson -- who flashed ability and chemistry with Bryce Petty last season -- is expected to step into the nominal lead role in the offense. But on a team that trailed most of the time last year -- and is fully expected to be even worse in 2017 -- there will be plenty of targets available.

Stewart’s competition includes the aforementioned Anderson, Jalin Marshall (who is suspended to begin 2017), Charone Peake, Chad Hansen, Marquess Wilson, Lucky Whitehead, and Chris Harper.

As a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Stewart has the highest draft capital of all these players, so he should get significant opportunities to prove himself. He operated mostly out of the slot at Alabama, playing bigger than his size (6'1") and running high-percentage routes over the middle of the field.
