Week 1 - at Chicago Bears
Week 2 - vs. Green Bay Packers
In the offseason, the Chicago Bears signed Mike Glennon and then drafted Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick. While Glennon is expected to be the Week 1 starter, whichever quarterback lines up under center will make the Atlanta Falcons an attractive defensive play.
Glennon has not seen significant playing time since 2014, and over the past two seasons, he's thrown a grand total of just 11 passes. Also, it's unlikely that he'll find much support from his teammates -- our metrics project the Bears to be the 10th-worst offense in the league this year.
Early Vegas lines have Atlanta listed as a seven-point favorite and tied for the third-largest spread in Week 1. With Atlanta expected to play with a lead for much of this game, Glennon and the Bears may be forced to throw more than they'd like to. That's generally a recipe for sacks, turnovers, and fantasy points.
Similar to the Bills, the Falcons will only be an option for Week 1. The matchup gets much tougher for Atlanta in Week 2 since they'll host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
