Donte Moncrief is young, athletic, has shown promise, and plays with Andrew Luck. But you should still stay away in 2017.
Moncrief has already suffered a shoulder injury in training camp (he also had a shoulder injury last season), and more ominously, Luck hasn't yet returned from his shoulder injury. The longer Luck's out, the more likely it is that Moncrief's in-season performance suffers, either because he's playing with a backup quarterback, or because Luck isn't quite up to form.
He's also bound for regression since he scored nearly five more touchdowns than the numbers would've expected last season. Even if he has a good year in 2017, it likely he won't find the end zone nearly as much.
We project Moncrief to finish as the 40th wide receiver this year, but he's being drafted as the 29th. In other words, even if he greatly outperforms our projections, he's still not likely to return value based on where he's being drafted. —Charlie Kleinheksel
