Fantasy Football: What Are the Odds a Specific Player Will Fall to You in Your Draft?
If you want to maximize a player's fantasy football draft value, you have to be willing to wait as long as possible before selecting a quarterback like Drew Brees. How late can we select each player in 2017 drafts?

Running Back

We will not be short on questions about the running-back position, and most of them will revolve around the Dallas Cowboys' backfield.

With Ezekiel Elliott suspended for the first six games, you're going to want to know what kind of discount you can get on him. And for those of you who'd rather not burn a bench spot for the first seven weeks, it's probably even more important to know how long you can wait before getting Darren McFadden. Here are some helpers in answering those questions.

Running Back Availability Odds: Standard Scoring

Running Back Availability Odds: PPR Scoring

Even though the full sample of drafts here came after Elliott's suspension was announced, he's far from cheap. If you pick 10th overall in a 12-team league, your odds of getting him in the second round are just 46.93%. So if you want Elliott, you're still going to pay a hefty price.

McFadden, though, is a different situation. He's going after pick 100 on average in PPR drafts, meaning you have 50.98% odds of having him fall into your lap if you pick right there. That's not bad for a guy who could have six weeks as a starter in a good offense.

There is a word of caution on McFadden, though. His standard deviation is 16.2 picks, meaning your odds of getting him 90th overall are 73.96%, but you also have 27.67% odds of getting him 110th overall. He has more variance than any other back going in the top 150, meaning that waiting on him could be a bit riskier than what you'll see with other players.
