Seemingly always underrated as a fantasy asset, Charles Clay is tied as the 29th-most expensive tight end on FanDuel this week after finishing 2016 as the TE17.
He averaged 5.8 targets per game, his 20% share of the Buffalo Bills' team targets was tied for the 5th-highest mark among tight ends, and his 17% share of the team's air yards ranked 11th.
The Bills also lost their three most-targeted wide receivers this offseason, with Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin having each posted targets market shares north of 15% and air-yard market shares over 23%. Losing wide receivers isn't a lock to translate into a bump in volume for Clay, but he will likely remain one of the team's most-used weapons in the passing attack.
