I only became aware of Cooper Kupp two years ago, but it was one heck of a first impression. The Oregon Ducks hosted Kupp's Eastern Washington to kick off both teams' 2015 seasons. Oregon won, but not before Kupp destroyed them to the tune of 246 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns on 15 receptions. Kupps FCS receiving records are the type of records that should take years to beat, if they ever are.

He is a rookie, but Kupp already has seemed to have formed a rapport with Jared Goff.

Goff needs a safety net if he's going to improve from his abhorrent 2016 season. That safety net can be Kupp. As the starting slot receiver for the Rams, his situation got a huge boost when the team traded for Sammy Watkins, who, along with Robert Woods, will demand coverage on the outside, leaving room for Kupp and his quick feet to get open underneath.

While Kupp is in a good spot against the Colts, it will still be hard to justify using him outside of tournaments this week as Week 1's low pricing makes it relatively easy to build a team of safer across the board. Still, Kupp should provide a solid floor, and his rock-bottom price allows you to pay up big at other positions.
