If you plan on following this column for much of the season, you can expect to see us targeting the New York Jets quite a bit. The Jets figure to have one of the worst offenses with Josh McCown throwing to arguably the weakest group of receivers in the league, which is led by second-year wideout Robby Anderson.
McCown played in a similar situation last season with a Cleveland Browns team looking more toward the future than winning games at the moment. For the Browns, he played in five games and committed 10 turnovers (6 interceptions and 4 fumbles), actually throwing as many interceptions as touchdowns. He was also sacked 18 times, hitting the ground as many as seven times in one game.
Now, he will once again be under center with a team lacking talent on offense, and he could easily become a punching bag for opposing defenses this year, too.
Vegas has the Bills as an 9.5-point home favorite with the game total set at 40.5. The Jets are only projected to score 16 points, the lowest projected point total of any team in Week 1. Against McCown and the Jets, the Bills are the top streaming option for the week.
