Fantasy Football: 5 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Week 2
What do the odds say about Week 2 for certain players -- like Tyrell Williams' performance in games as a favorite -- and how can your fantasy football teams benefit?

Start Tyrell Williams as a Favorite

The San Diego Chargers are playing on short rest against the Miami Dolphins who did not play in Week 1 because of Hurricane Irma. Vegas is not entirely worried about the rest factor because the Chargers are favored by four points at home.

This line bodes well for Tyrell Williams.

Last week, while most East-coasters were sleeping, Tyrell the Gazelle was leading the Chargers in receiving. While he only accrued 54 yards, he still led the team against the Denver Broncos' elite pass defense.

We can look for Williams to possibly go off against the Dolphins. When the Chargers were favored last season, he averaged 14.24 half-PPR points per game. This was five points higher on average than when the Chargers were underdogs.

Williams should also benefit from his quarterback Philip Rivers because of his performance as a favorite last season. Rivers averaged 24.44 points per game as a favorite and five fewer points per game as an underdog.

The best reason to start Williams is his price on FanDuel. At $6,300, he's priced 35th among wide receivers, making him a tremendous value.
