Fantasy Football: 5 Players You Can Drop After Week 2

LeGarrette Blount, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Maybe LeGarrette Blount is only good if he plays for the New England Patriots. After hammering home a ridiculous 18 rushing touchdowns in 2016, you could be forgiven for thinking Blount would at least be productive as the first- and second-down running back for a Philadelphia Eagles' offense that had just added stud receiver Alshon Jeffery into the mix.

But Blount's fit in Philly was always a question mark given their tendency to operate the offense out of the shotgun and his aptitude at running downhill taking handoffs from the quarterback under center. It seems the Eagles saw enough in Week 1, where, after Blount posted a miserable -3.91 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) on 16 carries, to reduce his role completely, giving him exactly zero carries in Week 2.

Perhaps Blount will still be viable as a complete desperation play for a ram-it-in-from-the-one-yard-line touchdown here and there, but do you really want to clog up a roster spot for a player you can never confidently start?

I know I don't. Drop Blount without hesitation for a better option, like Derrick Henry if he's available in your league, or Javorius Allen.
