Fantasy Football: 4 Unexpectedly Great Week 2 Performances
After a decent Week 1 performance, Jermaine Kearse was even better for the Jets on Sunday. Which other big-time performers didn't find their way into too many starting lineups?

Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

NFL.com Start Percentage: 5.0%

Week 2 Fantasy Points: 24.8

Through Sunday night's game, Carson Wentz was the second-highest scoring quarterback in Week 2. He's also fantasy football's QB3 so far this season (NFL.com scoring). Unfortunately, not many owners benefited from his performance over the weekend.

Wentz had a promising rookie season and has shown signs of improving in his second year. After all, the only quarterbacks with back-to-back 300-yard passing games to start the season are Aaron Rodgers and Wentz. He's also a top-10 quarterback in terms of touchdown percentage, yards per game, and yards per attempt.

That's all great, but what's most surprising is the rushing production. Wentz is averaging just over 30 yards per game on the ground. That trails only Tyrod Taylor, Deshaun Watson, and Russell Wilson. He may not always hit that number, but it's nice to know he's got the ability to get you some points with both his legs and arm.

Should you expect more of the same from Wentz? Sure! His next three opponents (the New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, and Los Angeles Chargers) are in the bottom half of the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. He may not be a consistent starter moving forward just yet, but he's a perfect streaming option if he's available in the right matchup.
