Other than Bell, the only running back with at least 30 touches in a game this season is Jay Ajayi. After the Miami Dolphins' first game was postponed, Ajayi led all running backs with 28 carries in Week 2.
The only other Dolphins running back to carry the ball in that game was Kenyan Drake, whose lone attempt went for minus-3 yards. Ajayi turned his heavy workload into 128 rushing yards, meaning he has now topped 100 yards in five of the six career games in which he's gotten at least 20 carries.
And he is in a great spot for another heavy workload in Week 3. The New York Jets, by virtue of trailing a lot, have allowed the third-most rushing attempts of any team this season and are giving up a league-high 185.0 rushing yards per game.
With the matchup, the workload, and the game script are all strongly in Ajayi's favor, he is one of the safest plays for Week 3.
