7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 3

Chris Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Entering Week 2, the Arizona Cardinals' backfield was a muddled mess. The wrist injury to David Johnson left Kerwynn Williams, Andre Ellington, and Chris Johnson to divvy up the workload. In Arizona's 16-13 OT win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, we may have gotten some clarity on the situation, as Johnson emerged as the most productive back.

CJ2K rushed 11 times for 44 yards while Williams managed just 2.4 yards per rush on 9 carries. Ellington, for his part, was limited to a change of pace/passing down role with 5 touches. The Week 2 performance by the 32-year-old Johnson prompted head coach Bruce Arians to suggest Johnson could not only move up the depth chart but should see more carries in Week 3.

With opportunity in hand, Johnson will take those extra touches into a favorable Monday night matchup with a Dallas Cowboys' defense that was manhandled by the Denver Broncos this past week, allowing 178 rushing yards on 39 carries.
