With the ground game stifled by the San Francisco 49ers, Carson Palmer attempted 51 passes on Sunday. With all of that happening, it appears Jaron Brown may be stepping up as the number-two option alongside Larry Fitzgerald.
Brown garnered 12 targets Sunday, turning them into 8 catches for 105 yards. And while the 49ers deserve credit for their solid run defensive, the Arizona Cardinals' propensity to throw a ton is no fluke. Prior to Week 4, the Cards ranked third in pass-to-run ratio with a mark of 2.23.
Given the volume that appears likely out of this offensive attack, Brown deserves some serious consideration moving forward.
