Fantasy Football: 5 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Week 5
What do the odds say about Week 5 for certain players -- like Tyrod Taylor's performance in games with low totals -- and how can your fantasy football team benefit?

Start Tyrod Taylor in a Game With a Low Over/Under

Quarterback is a tricky position this weekend. Tom Brady and Jameis Winston played on Thursday night, while Derek Carr, Marcus Mariota, Matt Ryan, and other usable fantasy quarterbacks are out this week for one reason or another.

Generally, we don't want to target passers in games with low totals. However, with most Vegas trends, Tyrod Taylor seems to buck them.

The total between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills is just 39.5 points. The Bills' implied total is only 18.25 points since Cincinnati is favored by three. This looks like a big red flag.

However, since the start of 2015, Taylor has averaged 24.55 fantasy points per game in 13 games with a total of 42 or below. His average in all other games is just 19.77 fantasy points.

It's also worth noting that the Bills are 4-0 against the spread this season.

In a week with scant options at quarterback, spending this Sunday worshipping TyGod makes some sense. His price on FanDuel is $7,200 which ranks 16th among quarterbacks. He may not make for a safe cash-game play but is worth targeting in tournaments.
