DraftKings Price: $4,600
Finding an extremely cheap quarterback play with upside can be the key to winning a tournament. There are a handful of sub-$5,000 starting quarterbacks this week, but Kevin Hogan of the Cleveland Browns has some intriguing upside.
Hogan filled in admirably last week after teammate DeShone Kizer was benched. In one half of action, Cleveland's new hope threw for 194 yards and 2 scores, nearly leading the Browns to victory.
This week's game script lines up perfectly for Hogan to be passing often. The Houston Texans are 10-point favorites in a game expected to see 46.5 points scored, nearly three points higher than when betting opened. Houston should have no trouble getting out to a commanding lead against a Browns team that has been outscored by 47 points in five games this season.
Cleveland will have to take to the air, and Hogan has been efficient in his limited work. On a per-play basis, he's posted the fifth-best Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back among quarterbacks with at least 40 drop backs (0.28). We project him for 14.4 points this week.
