Let's start with a look at the most obvious candidate to replace Rodgers on your fantasy team -- the guy replacing him in real life, former UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley.
Hundley is obviously not going to fully replace Rodgers' points, but is he worth a precious spot on your fantasy roster? He completed 18 of 33 passes (54.5%) in relief of Rodgers, as the Pack went pass heavy in an attempt keep up with the Vikings. He tossed a touchdown to a wide open Davante Adams but mixed in three interceptions, as well, thwarting any hopes of a decent start to his fantasy career.
Starting three seasons for the Bruins, Hundley left college as the school's all-time leader in total offense and touchdown passes. He displayed decent accuracy, completing 67.4% of his passes in his college career, but his reputation was mostly made as a runner. Hundley took off running 479 times in his 40 starts, an average of about 12 times a game. Despite an impressive statistical resume, Hundley somewhat surprisingly dropped all the way to the fifth round of the 2015 draft.
If Hundley is going to find fantasy success, rushing production will be key. But, at least in the early going, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy wasn't inclined to use him that way, with Hundley running just twice in contrast to his 33 pass attempts. If his coach can better tailor the game plan to his quarterback's skills going forward, Hundley will be worth a look.
Former NFL quarterback Sage Rosenfels was certainly encouraged by what he saw on Sunday.
Brett Hundley is no @AaronRodgers12 (nobody is) but he mimics Aaron’s footwork and throwing style fairly well. pic.twitter.com/nk4m6qk5fa

Another positive for Hundley is that he is well insulated by some excellent wide receivers in Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Adams. It's a high-quality receiving corps that will give the 24-year old a chance to put up some some big fantasy weeks. Not every matchup will be a winner, but next week's tilt with the New Orleans Saints could be a good way to get some early confidence as the Saints have given up the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
