Rookie sensation Leonard Fournette sprained his ankle late in the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Announcers said he was ready to return to the game, but he didn't actually do so.
Fournette has a worrisome history of lower leg injuries dating back to his career at LSU. As of now, it looks like he has a chance to suit up next week against the Indianapolis Colts, but Chris Ivory will be the primary beneficiary if Fournette isn't able to go.
Ivory only rushed twice for three yards on Sunday, but caught 9 of his 10 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in a game that Jacksonville trailed most of the time. The Jaguars have been trying to hide Blake Bortles all season, and their run-heavy scheme would make Ivory a legitimate option in a plus matchup if he were to be the primary back.
