A week after setting a career high in targets, receptions, and yards, George Kittle again saw significant usage in Week 6's loss to the Washington Redskins. He caught 4 of 8 targets for 46 yards, although he was less than a yard away from scoring a touchdown for the second straight week.
C.J. Beathard has taken over the reins of this winless 49ers team, which makes sense -- a team that's unlikely to compete this season should see what they have in their rookie playcaller. What's intriguing about this quarterback switch, though, is that both Beathard and Kittle played together on the Iowa Hawkeyes and should theoretically have chemistry already.
Kittle is an athletic phenom that has now seen nine and eight targets in the last two weeks, respectively. Next week's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys is far from prohibitive, as they rank towards the middle of the pack in points allowed to opposing tight ends. Kittle is on the streaming map.
