Cameron Brate, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6 Receptions, 76 Yards, 8 Targets, 1 Touchdown
Performance: 90
No NFL tight end has more touchdowns since the start of 2016 than Tampa Bay Buccaneers' tight end Cameron Brate, who has 12 scores in that span. The former undrafted free agent out of Harvard continued that production on Sunday, posting 6 receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown as his team attempted to rally from a 31-point deficit versus the Arizona Cardinals.
His Performance Score of 90 was tops for all tight ends in Week 6, and he accumulated a Reception NEP of 11.21 on his eight targets. He now leads rookie first-round pick O.J. Howard 30 to 12 in targets on the season, and Brate has been one of Jameis Winston's favorite targets in the red zone, where he leads the team with four receptions (and four touchdowns).
While he is just ninth at the position in targets, he trails only Zach Ertz in touchdowns and continues to provide consistent fantasy value with a score in each of the last four games. Brate continues to defy expectations, but he is firmly entrenched as one of the top assets at the position.
