While Virgil Green sees more snaps for the Denver Broncos, A.J. Derby has come on as the clear top receiving tight end in recent weeks. He has 17 targets over his past three games, highlighted by a season-high 7 last week. He's displayed his upside during that time, catching 6 balls for 66 yards last week and 4 for 75 and a score in Week 4.
His opponent this week, the Kansas City Chiefs, may be just what Derby needs to access that fantasy upside. Kansas City has looked surprisingly soft defensively since the loss of Eric Berry, especially against tight ends. They gave up 6 catches for 107 yards to Jared Cook last week and appear to be in a bit of a spiral after losing consecutive games. Derby could get loose against Kansas City's struggling secondary and is an exciting risk/reward streamer in Week 8.
