Last week, Bennie Fowler made our list of deep sleepers due to the absence of Emmanuel Sanders. While his performance wasn't anything to write home about -- 5 catches for 45 yards -- we are doubling down on the Denver Broncos' wideout with Sanders still not having practiced, as of Thursday.
If he is unable to go on Monday night, Fowler once again will be start-worthy for those in need, due to a get-right matchup for the Broncos' passing game.
Trevor Siemian and company are admittedly in a funk, having scored just three touchdowns in their last four games. However, with the Kansas City Chiefs' generous defense on tap, the passing game is in an excellent bounce-back spot in Week 8. The Chiefs have given up 13 passing touchdowns and 272 passing yards per game, putting them in the bottom-six of the NFL in both. They're also fresh off allowing Derek Carr to drop a 400-yard game on their secondary.
It's also worth noting the Broncos are seven-point underdogs, leaving a good chance they need to dial up the pass more frequently. Extra passes means extra Fowler, even if Sanders does give it a go, as he is the team's slot receiver in three-wideout sets.
