Due to his running ability, Jacoby Brissett may have more upside than Cutler, but his floor is likely lower, as well.
Brissett has a more difficult matchup as the Indianapolis Colts hit the road to take on the Houston Texans. Houston has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, but they rank a respectable 16th in pass defense, per our schedule-adjusted metrics. The Colts own an ugly 18.0-point implied total, the third-lowest of the week, and Indy is a whopping 13.0-point underdog.
So why would we even consider playing Brissett?
Well, like we've hammered home already, this is a bad week for quarterback streaming, and Brissett is one of the few non-terrible options. Also, his aforementioned running ability is always enticing.
Brissett has at least 20 rushing yards in three of his six starts, and he's got 3 rushing scores this season. In a tough matchup at the Cincinnati Bengals a week ago, Brissett totaled 15.92 fantasy points thanks to 233 passing yards and 2 scores (with 1 pick).
If it's upside you need, Brissett may be the best choice for you in Week 9. Our projections list him as the QB16, pegging him to score 14.0 fantasy points.
