8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 9
With Jay Ajayi out of town, no Miami back has played more snaps than Damien Williams this season.

Damien Williams, RB, Miami Dolphins

Kenyan Drake has been the more popular add with Jay Ajayi gone from the Miami Dolphins' backfield, and while both make decent speculative adds, Damien Williams looks to be the top back to own.

The Drake hype seems to be coming from head coach Adam Gase calling him the team's number-two back behind Ajayi. Those comments came on October 6th, and their numbers since don't at all reflect that.

Player Carries per Game Targets per Game Snaps per Game
Damien Williams 2.3 1.8 14.5
Kenyan Drake 1.8 0.3 3.8

Opportunity is the most important thing to look for in finding a fantasy-viable running back. Williams looks likely to get the first shot at the lead back role, giving him some strong value this week against an Oakland Raiders team that allowed top-10 fantasy production to running backs. He also has a fair amount of season-long value if he hangs onto that role.
