7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 9

Damien Williams, RB, Miami Dolphins

Yahoo! Ownership: 30%

The Miami Dolphins' surprising trade of Jay Ajayi thrusts Kenyan Drake and Damien Williams into the lead postions in the Fins backfield. Initial indications have given Drake the upper hand to lead the running back by committee while Williams continues to play on the passing downs. That has pushed Drake to a nearly 50% ownership rate while leaving Williams available in 70% of Yahoo! leagues. Don't sleep on Williams, though, as the 25-year-old back has been the more productive back of the two this season.

In seven games, Williams has seen the field for 82 snaps, totaling 80 yards on 20 touches while Drake has just 32 yards on 13 touches in 45 plays. With the Oakland Raiders allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing backs, the Miami duo should find room to run on Sunday night, giving both tailbacks a favorable matchup. However, Williams could see the heavier workload if the Miami needs to chase points and favor the pass, a strong possibility with the Dolphins being 3.0-point home dogs to the Raiders.
