Blake Bortles has a dreamy home matchup this week against the Indianapolis Colts. Per our schedule-adjusted metrics, Indy owns the league's worst overall defense and the second-worst pass defense. Yippee.
The Colts have given up some nice fantasy days to opposing passers, and not all of them have come to household names. DeShone Kizer got them for 22.08 fantasy points back in Week 3, and Bortles himself scored 16.30 points at Indy in Week 7, checking in as the QB15 that week.
Bortles is Bortles, but he does offer some upside with his legs, which we saw last week as he ran for 62 yards and 2 scores. He's had at least four rushing attempts in 7 of his last 11 games, including each of the previous 5 outings.
Also, the sample size isn't much, but Bortles has been a much better fantasy option this year in home games.
Split | Games | Yards Per Game | Touchdowns | Picks | Adjusted Yards/Attempt |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Home | 5 | 248.0 | 8 | 5 | 6.22 |
Away | 6 | 167.3 | 4 | 3 | 5.97 |
The Jacksonville Jaguars are 9.5-point favorites with a solid 25.0-point implied total. Our projections have Bortles as Week 13's QB10, pegging him for 19.16 fantasy points.
