Marquise Goodwin, a speedster who has been a boom-or-bust play for his entire career, has been a steady contributor since Pierre Garcon's season-ending injury. He's the number-one target in a Kyle Shanahan-led offense, averaging 82 yards per game over his last four.
Many were anxious to see how Jimmy Garoppolo would distribute passes in his first start for the San Francisco 49ers. He spread the targets around, but he found a nice connection with Goodwin, who caught all 8 of his targets for 99 yards.
Going forward, Goodwin and the 49ers face the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans -- two teams that struggle to defend the pass. He's a legitimate flex option over the next couple weeks.
