Fantasy Football: 4 Things We Learned From Week 13

Doug Martin Might Be Out of a Job

Doug Martin missed Week 13 with a concussion, but it doesn't seem like the Buccaneers missed him.

Martin has been struggling in 2017. His Rushing Success Rate -- or the percentage of rushing attempts that positively influence his team's expected points -- of 29.41 percent is pretty terrible. In fact, among backs with 50 or more carries this season, Martin's Success Rate ranks second to last, ahead of only Eddie Lacy.

Martin's absence may have been a boon for the team, though. Teammate Peyton Barber had a career day in Week 13, toting the rock 23 times for 102 yards and adding 4 receptions for another 41 yards. Barber cracked 100 rushing yards in his first game as the starter, whereas Martin has yet to eclipse 75 rushing yards in a game this season.

Barber was responsible for 32.8 percent of his team's total yardage on Sunday, so it's not out of the question that the Bucs turn to him going forward. They gave Martin a shot at redemption, but his time as the lead back may be over.
