In terms of seeking out a good defense to stream each week, we're often looking at home favorites and teams with a great matchup that are among the league leaders in forcing sacks and turnovers. The New York Jets don't fit any of those descriptions, but in Week 14, they have a matchup that is difficult to ignore if both the Bengals and Titans are taken in your league.
This week, the Jets travel to Denver to take on a lifeless Broncos team. Over the past four weeks, every team to face the Broncos has finished the week inside the top-12 in weekly scoring. It hasn't mattered if it has been Brock Osweiler, Paxton Lynch, or Trevor Siemian under center, the Broncos' offense has been dismal and opposing defenses are teeing off.
In the past four games, Broncos quarterbacks have combined to commit 8 turnovers and take 11 sacks. This week, it will be Siemian under center once again, and he had a forgettable outing last week against the Miami Dolphins, throwing three interceptions, including one pick-six. The Dolphins finished Week 13 as the week's top-scoring defense.
The Jets have finished as a top-12 defense just once in their past four games, but they have been among the league leaders in pressuring the quarterback. The Jets rank eighth in quarterback hits (77), suggesting they should be able to get after Siemian this week.
Vegas has the Jets as a 1.5-point road favorite in this matchup. Against a Broncos team in a tailspin, the Jets make for a quality deep streaming option.
